New NCC: our home designs are updating!
Are you looking to build your dream home in Queensland or New South Wales? As a trusted home builder, Coral Homes is committed to keeping you in the loop about the latest developments in the industry. Due to upcoming changes to the National Construction Code (NCC), our home designs have been refreshed to allow for new accessible housing requirements.
In the following blog, we’ll share what these new NCC changes are and how our new designs are more functional, efficient and family-friendly than ever before.
Enhanced safety measures
Safety has always been a cornerstone of Coral construction, and the new NCC changes bring in additional safety measures to further protect you and your loved ones. From fire safety to structural integrity, the updated codes ensure that your home is built to withstand various environmental challenges. As Coral Homes, we’re dedicated to meeting these high standards to provide you with the utmost peace of mind.
Accessibility and inclusivity
Inclusion is vital, and the new NCC changes emphasise accessibility in home design. Our team at Coral Homes understands the importance of creating spaces that are welcoming and functional for all, and our new NCC-compliant designs have not only been created with inclusivity in mind, but are more practical for functional family living.
Changes to Coral Homes floorplans
We’ve revamped our current home designs! Our range of floorplans will now be tailored specifically to your state, whether it’s Queensland or New South Wales. Let’s take the Highlands 36 home design as an example – it’s getting a brand-new name, the Highlands 338Q. For simplicity, the number now reflects the floorplan’s size in metres squared, rather than square metres. Plus, the ‘Q’ represents a Queensland-specific home design.
