There are so many festive activities, food choices, decorations and themes to choose from when thinking about how to celebrate Christmas in your Coral Home this year.
To help you navigate through the plethora of choices, Coral Homes has discovered the top search trends on Google to let you in on the secret of how everyone else is planning on putting the ‘F’ in Festive this year. Read on to find out what’s trending in 2020 for Christmas…
So according to Google, apparently garlands are back in fashion! Beyond the trimming of the tree and hanging a wreath on the front door, garlands are next on the decorating to-do list in 2020. Christmas garlands are one of those decorations that ties a look together, filling out a lot of space with beautiful greenery and serving as a platform for lights or other ornaments.
Traditionally garlands are created by stringing evergreen branches throughout the home. Today, sophisticated artificial versions are practically indistinguishable from natural versions and you can even purchase pre-decorated garlands to match whichever Christmas décor/theme you chose to go with.
At Coral Homes, we love the simplicity of the Eucalypt Leaf 1.5m Garland from Bend, Bath n’ Table and for an absolute bargain, try the 1.83m traditional pine looking Green Garland from Kmart – ready for decorating with lights and anything else you wish to add.
Pre-Lit Christmas Tree
This is a surprising one, as we would have thought isolation due to COVID-19 would have made us more DIY focussed. Nevertheless, according to Google ‘pre-lit tree’ is a rising search topic that is up 170% in Australia in 2020.
Not needing too much of an explanation, pre-lit Christmas trees have the obvious benefits of basically ‘plug and play’ convenience making the whole set up of a Christmas tree easier and faster than ever. LED lights are already part of the foliage, with the result being an impressive tree that is professionally lit. No stringing of lights necessary! What could be easier?
For value, we like Big W’s Christmas Prelit Tree – Green standing 228cm tall. Looking to get the el primo pre-lit Christmas tree? Try Balsam Hill and their extensive range of ‘Easy Plug Pre-Lit’ artificial Christmas trees that look surprisingly real!
Matching Family Christmas pyjamas
As kitschy as themed pyjamas are, you got to love the togetherness (and the cute photo opportunity) that wearing matching Christmas themed pyjamas brings. From elf sleepwear to good old traditional red tartan, you can’t deny Christmas PJs bring the perfect touch of festivity you need whilst opening presents at the crack of dawn.
We love the inclusivity that Best and Less brings to their broad range by also catering well to the littlies – they have nighties, boxers, PJ sets and baby onesies! Undeniably the ‘King of the sleepwear’, you can’t go past Peter Alexander and his creative world of nightwear. There are some great Christmas prints available this year which include native Australian animals (and sloths) amongst a variety of other festive designs. Also winning points for inclusivity, you can even purchase a matching Christmas Tartan Doggy Bandana for your fur baby!
So there you have it – some great ways to celebrate Christmas with your family.
From everyone at Coral Homes, we hope you have a safe and relaxing holiday season, and we look forward to a terrific 2021 together!
