Modern vs Hamptons Homes

Atlanta 48 (willawong) Modern & Hamptons Facade

Meet your match: Modern vs Hamptons

Coral Homes has been busy building dream homes in this year’s most popular facade styles – Modern and Hamptons, with the help of innovative and on-trend James Hardie finishings. We’ve long seen the Hamptons home trend take the lead, but recently we’ve seen a spike in homebuyers opting for a modern design. In this blog, we’re comparing our favourite modern and Hamptons homes, so you can make the perfect choice for your new home facade.

Modern homes are trending

Both Coral Homes and James Hardie® researched and worked collaboratively on bringing our modern masterpieces to life! We saw a big opportunity in the market and a trend for a more contemporary aesthetic which appealed to customers. According to a study conducted by BIS Oxford Building Materials in New Dwellings, the most popular facade that homeowners are selecting is a modern style, with Queensland taking the lead for the most modern homes.

Designing a modern home is all about simplicity, bold forms and clean lines, says James Hardie. Ways we are incorporating this into our Coral homes is through neutral colour finishings, diverse design with varying depth and James Hardie cladding, that delivers the modern lines of the house. As we’re constantly innovating and keeping up with the latest home trends, both Coral Homes and James Hardie have released sought-after new products that work together to create that modern home aesthetic. From the Sacramento 36 which was introduced in August last year, catering to 10 metre narrow lots perfect for inner city living – to the Atlanta 48 which keeps growing families in mind.

A modern masterpiece – the Atlanta 48 at Willawong

Coral Homes’ biggest and boldest display home yet, the Atlanta 48, has an eye-catching modern facade. This moody design is a show-stopping double storey home with generous proportions. The exterior finishes have been crafted with various textures in mind, to create visual interest and the ultimate street appeal. Creating an intentional contrast to the render is the beautiful detail of Hardie™  Axon vertical groove cladding by James Hardie. Painted in Domino, it complements the window frames on the upper storey. Ultimately, the mix of materials on the Atlanta 48 is designed to draw the eye in, creating interest with a mix of colour and texture.
