Acreage Home Design Floor Plans

A relaxing and spacious family home

There’s a certain charm about living amongst wide open spaces, lush greenery and crisp, country air and the Highlands Series follows the trend of many Aussie families building on larger blocks of land.

Like a traditional acreage home, the wide floorplan of the Highlands Series leads into two main wings – first being the master retreat and on the other side of the home is the additional bedrooms, study and extra living rooms. Each member of the family has a space to relax and unwind. The master bedroom retreat is a peaceful sanctuary away from the centre of the home. Just like the master, the kid’s bedrooms also have a calming view of the outdoors.

The acreage lifestyle truly is a great way to bring more relaxation, space and calm into your family home and the Highlands Series is a cleverly designed floorplan that will really make the most of your acreage block of land. In their three decades of building homes, Coral have perfected their designs for liveability, flow and comfort.

Our first acreage display, the Highlands 36, is opening its doors on the 21st of January 2023 at Everleigh estate (Greenbank, Queensland). Drawing its inspiration from elements of nature, our acreage designs with a ‘Lodge Facade’ showcase organic textures and tones, drawing a laid-back yet contemporary theme to the home.

A mix of materials – including timber, stone, render and brick – create a minimalist, natural look for the facade. Axon™ Cladding by James Hardie is the go-to option for Coral’s contemporary acreage homes that feature ‘Lodge Facade’, crafted with materials such as wood grain for a quality finish.

Why you should consider the acreage lifestyle

What makes an acreage home is the way it seamlessly blends with the natural environment. If you’re still deciding whether to swap the city for serenity, we’ve put together a list of six key reasons as to why you might fall in love with the lifestyle change to country living.

  1. You can live amongst wide open spaces with lots of greenery and serene natural surrounds
  2. Create a slower pace of life by escaping the hustle and bustle of city living
  3. The large block sizes of acreage homes create space and privacy
  4. There’s plenty of room for expansion of your home if your family grows, giving you opportunity to add value to your land in the future
  5. In most cases, you get more bang for your buck with land than you would in a city
  6. Enjoy having a large alfresco space for entertaining and space for a pool
