2. Buy sooner with the extended ‘First Home Loan Deposit Scheme’

The extended First Home Loan Deposit Scheme allows first-home buyers to apply for a loan with a minimum deposit of 5%. Queensland buyers are limited to first homes up to $600,000 in cities and $450,000 in regional areas. Home buyers in New South Wales are looking at a slightly higher cap of $800,000 in major cities and $600,000 for other areas of the state.
