When you take advantage of the HomeBuilder grant
You’ll need to be quick if you are planning on using the HomeBuilder grant. To be eligible you must enter a Coral Homes’ contract between 4 June and 31 December 2020 and have your site start commence within 3 months of signing your contract.
To ensure we can get your home build started as quickly as possible, we’ve introduced a new process, so you can take advantage of the HomeBuilder grant.
When you receive your initial estimate paperwork and pay a deposit, you will also be issued with a HomeBuilder eligibility checklist to complete and return.
In the meantime, we’ll get started on your soil testing report, preliminary council searches, contour survey, site inspection report, wind rating report, preliminary drawings and new home tender preparation. Once this is completed, we’ll then provide you with a new home tender and preliminary drawings for your home for review and approval.
Assuming you are eligible and applying for the HomeBuilder Grant, you will be issued with a special HomeBuilder Grant Preliminary Agreement and contract paperwork for signing. This is when the balance of your 5% deposit is due.
You will be introduced to your Customer Service contact, who will lodge your building, plumbing and drainage applications on your behalf.
We’ll then set up your appointment in our design studio to meet with our experts and discuss every inch of your home. From colours and cabinetry to fixtures and flooring – we’ll take you through it all! If you want to get a head start, check out our blog on personalising your home.
Following your selection appointments, any variations have been signed (if required) and your building approval is close, we’ll send you the HIA Contract for signing. Finally, we’ll place all the orders for the building materials for your new home, you’ll be issued with a site start date and on your way to building your dream home!
This new process means we will be doing everything we can to ensure anyone who qualifies for the HomeBuilder grant gets their dream home organised in time to receive it!
