Old home? Narrow lot? No problem! Coral Homes welcomes you to a modern new world with its latest offering, the Sacramento Series.
Designed specifically for the inner-city Knock Down & Rebuild market, the new Sacramento Series is an innovation in modern architecture. Within the Sacramento Series, the Sacramento 36 is a striking double-storey modern design, suitable for narrow 10m+ lot widths, and the perfect addition to any Knock Down & Rebuild neighbourhood. Featuring six flexible floorplans and four designer facades – including the new Modern facade for maximum street appeal – the Sacramento Series offers versatile, stylish living at its best.
Coral Homes’ darker, bolder facades of the Baltimore at Rochedale and Rochester at Newport were received well by customers, so the modern façade of the Sacramento 36 in similar moody tones made perfect sense to build on the narrow block at Carina.
“I wanted to create an ambience within the home. This home is an evolution of the Baltimore and Rochester schemes with clean lines and graphic shapes,” Coral Homes’ interior designer, Angela Haughton explains.
“But in reality, modern style is very much rooted in shapes and forms. It has a more neutral colour palette with the occasional pop of colour.”
Coral Homes worked in collaboration with our supply partners to develop a modern series of homes. The Box Modern façade which features a variety of materials, textures and colours all working in harmony. “Large Austral terrazzo brick blockwork leading into the entry complements the black vertical timber-panelled B&D designer garage door; while Decowood timber-look aluminum cladding to the upper box detail provides the look but not the maintenance of timber and adds warmth to the dark finishes,” Angela says.
With all the graphic, modern elements featured on the façade of the Sacramento 36, it was important to interior designer, Angela, to balance this with something organic and visually softer. “Leading into the entry is Eco Outdoors Scala crazy pave – which visually is a little wow as you enter the home.
The wow-factor of the exterior is matched by an equally stunning interior.
Angela describes the aesthetic: “It is conscious layering whilst incorporating pieces with form and detail, mixed with black and brass accents. It’s neutral, inviting and elegant. It relates to modern design with a clean aesthetic and colour palette. It’s all about layering neutral textiles and textures to create interest rather than introducing too much additional colour.”
Upon entry, customers are greeted with a statement staircase which flows through to an open-plan kitchen, dining, living and alfresco space, for ease of entertaining.
“You will find lots of walnut-toned wood and relaxed textiles with iconic lighting done in black, brass and glass. Hard finishes include matt black cabinetry in the kitchen which has a soft timber grain to it. Throughout the remainder of the home is Aged Walnut laminate. Lighting was very important and with the dark kitchen I felt brass and alabaster pendants would add drama to the spaces,” Angela explains of her moody interior concept.
Four generous bedrooms feature upstairs, including a master with ensuite and spacious walk-in-robe, located at the rear of the home for privacy.
Texture play can be seen in the ensuite bathroom with an array of finishes including mosaic tile feature walls, round frosted glass wall lights, and oval-shaped mirrors, which have a dialogue with the oval-shaped black vanity handles. Every detail of the Sacramento Series has been carefully considered to bring customers an affordable, stylish and modern home offering.
