We’ve added an extra step to give you added peace of mind
Recently we have made some changes to the handover process for our customers. It’s important to us to ensure that we are presenting homes that are built to the highest standard. That’s why we’ve introduced a new step in the handover process for an Independent Quality Inspector (that we will pay for) to assess the build quality of your new home*.
Once the home is completed, your Building Supervisor will undertake their own quality inspection and arrange the necessary rectification works. After these rectifications are completed, an Independent Quality Inspector will assess the home and complete their independent quality review*. Because this step is new in the handover process, more time will now be allocated between completion and handover (this timeframe will now be approximately 3 weeks).
Once the Independent Quality Inspection has been undertaken*, your Building Supervisor will arrange a time for your ‘client walk-through meeting’. Together with your Building Supervisor, this is your opportunity to identify any of the ‘minor defects or omissions’ (which are excluded from the practical completion stage of your building contract) that you would like rectified prior to handover.
During this inspection, your Building Supervisor will also provide helpful advice, guidance and demonstrations for important maintenance matters including electricals, your foundations, general safety, pest control and proper care of your inclusions.
We understand that extending the wait period between your final inspection and the handover may not be what you were expecting for your timeline. However, you’ll get peace of mind knowing an Independent Quality Inspector has signed off on the quality and craftsmanship of your beautiful new Coral Home – which we believe is well worth the wait!
