There’s never been a better time to build

Can you believe that 2020 is over and 2021 is here? We can’t!

Coral Homes is now officially back from our close-down period, with our displays, head office and construction teams all officially open for business. During our break, we rested and contemplated our goals for the new year…

In 2021, our new year’s resolution is to help as many people as possible realise their dream of building a new home. We will achieve this by continuing to provide exceptional value for money through offering well-designed homes with great standard inclusions at a fantastic price.

If your new year’s resolution is for a brand-new family home, there really has never been a better time to build and we have some great motivational points to help make 2021 the year to make it happen for you…

New year, new offers

We always have some great offers available and this year will be no different.

To kick start helping you achieve your new year’s resolution (and ours) we have launched a brand-new offer called ‘New Year, New Home’. Essentially, this offer provides you with some fantastic, reduced home prices, across our most popular designs – for a limited time.

We have a 3 bed, 2 bath single storey home starting from $99,000^ or a 4 bed, 2.5 bath double storey home starting from $189,000^

Furthermore, you can upgrade your façade for a small additional amount. Click here to find out more about this fantastic new offer. But hurry, this must end January 24th, 2021.

HomeBuilder Grant has been extended

In case you haven’t already heard the news, the HomeBuilder Grant launched in 2020 has now been extended! This means if you sign a HIA construction contract with us between January 1st 2021 and March 31st 2021, eligible customers will receive a $15,000 new build grant when purchasing new builds valued at under $950,000 in New South Wales and $750,000 in Queensland.

Click here to find out more info on the Australian Government’s Treasury site.

Furthermore, if you are a first home buyer there is more financial support up for grabs. More help is available through government programs like the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme and the First Home Owners Grant, which both subsidise the purchase or construction of new homes.

By combining the First Home Owner’s Grant and the HomeBuilder Grant, eligible first home buyers can now receive up to $30,000 in QLD and $25,0000 in New South Wales by way of financial support from the Government.

Low interest rates

Right now, the average 2-year fixed rate among lenders we track sits at an extremely low 2.35% p.a. and the average variable rate is a bit higher at 3.31% p.a.

At its monetary policy meeting on 1 December 2020, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) decided to keep the cash rate unchanged at the all-time low of 0.10% (with the next meeting scheduled for February 2021).

Better yet, the RBA has made it clear on several occasions that the cash rate won’t increase until both inflation and employment are within its target range, and that’s unlikely to occur for at least another three years.

This gives borrowers a certain sense of security because if you purchase now, it is highly likely that you will enjoy a low interest rate from between 2% and 3% from your lender for around 3 years.
