We caught up with Chris Knight, Innovation Development Manager at Laminex to learn more about the response to the new Laminex AbsoluteMatte range. “Architects and designers are so pleased that they can at last specify a product with that highly desirable ultra-matte look and not worry about it being marred by fingerprints and other marks,” Knight explains.
With thirty years’ experience at Laminex, Chris has helped bring countless new surface materials to market, but the reaction to the Laminex AbsoluteMatte high-pressure laminate has been among the strongest he’s seen. But the positive feedback for this incredible product doesn’t stop there. We’ve also received an abundance of interest in the Laminex AbsoluteMatte range since opening our Baltimore 38.
The kitchen design was the initial focus of the Baltimore 38 on display at Rochedale. Timber look cabinetry is also used in the kitchen to compliment the Laminex AbsoluteMatte Black product. The Natural Walnut secondary cabinetry used is also by Laminex and creates a stunning combination when paired with the AbsoluteMatte Black. Overall, the kitchen has a contemporary seamless look with the added convenience of the integrated fridge and freezer as well as hidden pantry details. Fingerless handles pull and push to open cupboards, giving the space an uncluttered aesthetic.
